Every child goes through teething in their own way, but most undergo the typical developments that you can look out for. Most children start teething around six months of age, and their central incisors, which are bottom front teeth, are often the first teeth to appear. A short while later, around eight months of age, the top central incisors can come in as the second set of teeth.

Between nine and 13 months of age, many children receive their lateral incisors, which neighbor the top teeth. The first molars often appear around the age of about 19 months, while the second molars often come in following the canine teeth, which can erupt at about 17 months of age.

All 20 baby teeth should be visible by the time your child is two years of age, and because this many teeth need to erupt in a short amount of time, you may have noticed the signs of teething in your child several times over. Common symptoms of teething may be lots of drooling, sucking, biting, rubbing the gums, not wanting to eat, and running a mild temperature.
